



Heather is a member of the Hallé Orchestra, performing in the second violin section. During her time with the orchestra, she has toured extensively throughout Europe and China, with many performances broadcast on radio and television.
Alongside her orchestral work, Heather maintains a varied freelance career and has performed with ensembles including the BBC Philharmonic, Opera North, Scottish Ballet, and Manchester Camerata.
Heather particularly enjoys performing in musical theatre productions and has held violin and viola chairs for Standing at the Sky's Edge, Little Women, The Book Thief, and Fun Home. She has also deputised on productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Wizard of Oz.
Her commercial work includes tours, live performances, and recordings with artists including Gary Numan, Alex Warren at the BRIT Awards, Diana Ross, Echo & the Bunnymen, Disturbed, Chicane, Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead), The Snuts, DJ Spoony, Twin Atlantic, Evanescence, Public Service Broadcasting, and Susan Boyle.
Heather holds a Master of Music in Performance with Distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music and a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Alongside her violin studies, she also studied piano, Traditional Scottish fiddle, and jazz keyboard.
Heather also holds a teaching position at Ashton on Mersey School, where she teaches strings, piano, and orchestral ensembles. Alongside her sister, she co-runs the award-winning live music company Dahlia Music.
Outside of music, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring nature, which remains an important source of balance and inspiration in her life.
