I am a Scottish freelance journalist & arts press consultant and during my 22-year career, I have interviewed everyone from Jamie Oliver and the Archbishop of Canterbury, to Alastair Campbell on his soft furnishings. The reason for the latter is that as a former staffer at The Herald, I specialised in property and interior design. These days I write on most subjects for the Scottish media and am part-time press officer for The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, as well as doing freelance media consultancy for galleries for www.scotlandart.com, Peter Howson and the Govan strand of Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art. I have also written a comedy drama, Long Player, which was performed at Oran Mor’s A Play, A Pie & A Pint season, and produced by David MacLennan.
What’s the essence of this site I hear you ask? Well Scottish Interior Life covers everything to do with homes and interiors, the arts & going out in Scotland, (plus random sorties to Oslo, my second home)
